Dress Shoe Orthotics

Orthotics can be prescribed for women’s slip-on or narrow cut dress shoes. It is important to note that patients will need thin and narrow orthotics for these type of shoes.  Patients also need to understand that smaller orthotics provide less biomechanical control and there is no guarantee that the orthotics will fit in their current dress shoes.

Sometimes patients have to purchase new dress shoes to accommodate the orthotics.  The podiatrist can give you a list of fashionable shoes that may
work with the orthotics.

At Entire Podiatry we would initially prescribe full control orthotics that give optimal foot support that fit into lace-up, walking and sports shoes and also deep sandals. If the first pair works well and gives good pain relief we can then order a smaller pair for the dress shoes.

Dress shoe orthotics are custom orthotic devices that are small enough to fit into a dress shoe. These orthotics are very thin and narrow. They have a shallow heel cup to fit into smaller shoes and a very thin cover so that they leave plenty of room for your feet.
Dress orthotics can be fit into most types of women’s dress shoes – as long as they do not have an open back.
In most cases your orthotic molds are stored at the orthotic laboratory for 2 years, so to order a pair of orthotics for your dress shoes just make an appointment at one of the Entire Podiatry clinics.

There are several types of dress orthotics that can be prescribed, depending on the types of dress shoes you most often wear. Entire Podiatry will work with you to find the best type for your lifestyle.
